Firstrade Broker Review

Hi folks, what a tumultuous time to be trading in the current markets!  As you know, I’ve been pushing some gold mining and gold leveraged stocks as of late, and have been an early predictor of the generational bull market in gold that is just beginning.  Here I would like to change gears and review  a resource for your gold investments.

The resource is Firstrade, which provides on line trading  as an internet broker.  I’ve had some experience with some of the many discounted online brokers and have had mixed success.  There are undeniable advantages to cheap stock trading prices, and quite frankly I usually like outside resources for my research and information and so I balk at paying large trade fees for services I rarely if ever use.  So naturally I gravitate to online brokers for my trades to take some of the sting out of trading costs.  Firstrade offers $6.95 trades which is competitive and makes a frequent trader like myself happy.  It adds up, I tell ya..

I find I prefer an online broker that focuses value directly into discounted rates and low fees.  There is no replacing a quality relationship with your broker, and the personal touch that having a phone relationship with a real person can provide.  But all to often I simply want to make my own trades, quickly, and cheaply, and having a computer and the internet has dramatically made this easier over the last decade.  Firstrade seems to offer many services, I am sure that helps them maintain competitiveness, but I simply look at fees for my online brokers.

Stock trading doesn’t need to be difficult nor expensive, and I think online brokers have brought a lot of value in added savings to the common trader.  The added savings can really make a difference on your profit margin as a new investor and can allow for the moving in and out of stocks, buying gold dips, affordable.  So thumbs up, Firstrade is worth checking out!
